[Themes] How to Create a Custom Theme for Your Presentation

Customizing your StreamAlive session with a unique theme allows you to enhance the visual appeal of your presentations and create a more engaging experience for your audience. Whether you want a classic, professional look or a scenic, immersive design, StreamAlive lets you build themes that match your style.​

With the theme creation options, you can customize background colors, text styles, and other visual elements to align with your branding or event aesthetic. Creating a theme ensures that every session feels cohesive and visually appealing, whether you're running a formal webinar, an interactive live stream, or a fun community event.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to:

  1. Create a custom theme from scratch

  2. Choose colors, fonts, and backgrounds to match your style

  3. Save and manage your themes for future use


  1. Navigate to "Themes" from the left-hand side panel.

  2. Click on "+ New Theme"

  3. Choose a theme similar to your desired template to use as a starting point.

  4. Give your theme a unique name

  5. Start customizing the elements (background color, text color, accent colors, etc.).

    • You can make general edits to your slides/interaction's background, text/font, and heading/title/question design on the slides tab

    • To make specific design edits to your interactions in your theme, use the Interactions tab.
      ​
      For example: In the image below, we've selected power polls and in the design section on the right, there is a new section called visualisation colors where you can edit the design of the bar color and text.
      ​

  6. Once you're satisfied with your design, click "Save theme".

  7. With that, your theme is created
